Photo Album: Nori Family Album from Carlisle

Scope and Contents:
It is unclear how this photograph album came into the posession of the Thorpe family but it includes family photographs of the Nori family—Ida V. Griffin Nori (Northern Arapaho), her husband Siceni Nori (Pueblo), and their children Hazel and Verna. Siceni Nori worked as chief clerk the the Superintendent of the Carlisle School in 1911 and the album includes photographs of Jim Thorpe competing in track and field events at Carlisle. There is also a photograph from Jim Thorpe and Iva Miller's 1912 wedding where Verna served as a flower girl and Hazel as the ring bearer. There is also a loose photograph at the front of the album of Iva Miller (Thorpe) in a headdress that is labeled as "Aunt Iva Thorpe."
