This accession consists of the records of Robert M. Vogel, Curator, documenting his curatorial and professional activities in the Division of Engineering and Industry.
Earlier records date back to when the division was known as the Division of Mechanical and Civil Engineering at the National Museum of American History (NMAH), and when the
museum was known as the National Museum of History and Technology and the Museum of History of Technology, respectively. The records document the collecting and production
of civil engineering documentary films, some of which were shown to the general public at NMAH; cataloging of the Roebling Collection at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute;
a survey of New England textile mills; and the history of steam engines in America. Materials include correspondence, proposals, reports, budget summaries, photographs, and
supporting documentation.
This accession consists of field notes of Perry C. Holt (1910-1999), a professor of zoology at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. These materials
document his research of branchiobdellids in the United States and Mexico, and some may correspond to specimens in the National Museum of Natural History, Department of Invertebrate
Zoology. Materials also include correspondence, shipping invoices, and field data sheets.

This accession consists of records that document collections management, research, and professional activities of curators in the Division of the History of Technology,
with earlier records dating back to when the division was known as the Division of Extractive Industries, the Division of Manufacturing, the Division of Agriculture and Mining,
the Division of Agriculture and Forest Products, the Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the Division of Manufactures and Heavy Industries, and the Division of
Industrial Cooperation at the National Museum of American History, which, prior to 1980, was known as the National Museum of History and Technology and the Museum of History
and Technology, respectively. Records that date to when the museum was part of the United States National Museum document curatorial activities in the Division of Mineral
Technology, as well as the related sections of Organic Chemistry and Manufacturers.
Staff represented in these records include curators G. Terry Sharrer, John T. Schlebecker, Frederick L. Lewton, Howard Irving Chapelle, Pete Daniel, Paula J. Johnson, Carl

This accession consists of field notes of Sol Felty Light (1886-1947), a zoologist at the University of California, Berkeley, 1926-1947. These field notes document
freshwater copepods collected mostly in the United States, and some notes document specimens collected by others. These materials were maintained by the National Museum of
Natural History, Department of Invertebrate Zoology, and possibly relate to collections in the department. Materials also include correspondence and maps.
