This accession consists of records that document the curatorial activities of Frank Gettings, Curator of Prints and Drawings at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, 1969-1999. Some exhibitions curated by Frank Gettings for the Hirshhorn included: Picasso's Etchings: Selections from the Museum's Collecion (1975); Robert Rauschenberg: Stoned Moon Series (1976); Art Deco Posters from the Library of Congress (1980); Raphael Soyer: Sixty-five Years of Printmaking (1982); Picasso Linocuts from the Museum's Collection (1991), and WORKS: Different Drummers (1988). Materials include correspondence, memoranda, notebooks, writings, research notes, brochures, artwork purchase proposals, valuations, collection lists, photographs of Gettings, and exhibition proposals.

Image files comprised of photos, slides and transparencies of individual works of art were transferred to the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden Library, for inclusion in the museum's artist study files.

This accession consists of the records of Dr. Uta C. Merzbach, Associate Curator. Topics covered include planning of the IBM computer terminal exhibit with collection viewing; museum fire of 1970; exhibit preparations for "1876: A Centennial Exhibition"; education and training; educational programs; and exhibit of a working computer, with Nicholas J. Suszynski, Jr., Director, Information Systems Division, 1968-1970. Some materials are dated from a time period before Merzbach started working at the National Museum of History and Technology in 1964. Additionally, some materials date to when the museum was known as the Museum of History and Technology and when the section was known as the Section of Mathematics and Antique Instruments as well as from when the sections were part of the Division of Physical Sciences and the Division of Electricity and Nuclear Energy. This accession consists of the curatorial records of the Curatorial Office of the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM). Materials cover projects, lectures, committees, and other curator specific activities. The bulk of these records are from Andrew L. Connors, Associate Curator, and cover his activities in promoting Latino and Hispanic culture, including his work for Hispanic Heritage Month, the Latino Task Force, and the Latino Working Committee. Additionally there are some records which document Connors' reviews of exhibitions at other museums. Lastly there is a small portion of records which document the administration of the New Media/New Century Award which is part of Helios Photography Online. Helios is the online photography presence of SAAM and is intended to be a platform for all of SAAM's photography efforts as well as be a resource for photography and visual culture on the web. The records included in this accession document the administration of the New Media/New Century Award which is given to artists who utilize new media to transform the way people look at the land and landscapes by using technology to encourage new collaborations, image manipulations, and interactions with audiences. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, minutes of meetings, brochures, pamphlets, lecture manuscripts, project proposals, budget information, contracts, and applications.
