Scope and Contents:
Caucasian salesman showing four Chinese men the new Celluloid cuffs. The Chinese men are shown with unattractive grimaces and exaggerated queues standing straight up. A box or pedestal in the right foreground is labeled, "The last / invention." The card scanned has the imprint, "For sale by / E.C. Horne, 10 Main Street." just under the image, with the Donaldson Brothers imprint below the picture border at right. Duplicate cards in the collection have the Donaldson imprint, but other dealers' rubber stamp imprints on either the recto or verso of the cards include Spear Custom Clothier, Weymouth; Lipscomb the Hatter, Worcester, Mass., etc.
