Correspondence; catalogs and reports of exhibitions; a guest book; pamphlets describing the history and development of the club; and a collection of scrapbooks.
Biographical / Historical:
Professional women's club, New York, New York. Club for professional writers, painters, sculptors, and craftswomen. Founded in 1893 by Mary and Janet Lewis, both painters, as a medium of contact for aspiring creative women involved in the arts. Was incorporated in 1912.
Provenance:
Lent for microfilming 1965 by Pen and Brush.
Restrictions:
The Archives of American art does not own the original papers. Use is limited to the microfilm copy.
