Biographical / Historical:
Professional women's club, New York, New York. Club for professional writers, painters, sculptors, and craftswomen. Founded in 1893 by Mary and Janet Lewis, both painters, as a medium of contact for aspiring creative women involved in the arts. Was incorporated in 1912.
