Founded 1861 by Henry & Lucille Morton (see http://www.pariconsleds.com/company.html). Paris Manufacturing Co. supplied the sleds for both the Admiral Peary Expedition to the North Pole and a follow-up expedition by Donald Macmillan in 1914. The company is most famous for manufacturing the classic Flexible Flyerâ„¢ wood sled with steel runners. It also now (2007) makes foam sliders , toboggans , saucers , plastic sleds, baby sleighs , PVC inflatables , snowboards , snow toys and helmets . (see http://www.pariconsleds.com/)Unique 1890 catalog for the Paris Manufacturing Company's selection of "Children's Sleds and Sleighs , Boy's Carts , Wagons , Wheelbarrows , &c." The title page of the catalog also lists "Folding Step Ladders, Tables, Chairs, Swings, Cot Beds, &c."
