Scope and Contents note:
This exhibition was created under the auspices of the Government of the Republic of Korea, 1957. The exhibition traveled to the United States and one of the venues was the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. These photographs are a complete set from the United States Information Service photographs made in Seoul. There are 187 8x10 black and white prints of items which were included in the Korean art exhibition. The prints are numbered to correspond with items in a catalog which accompanies the prints entitled, Masterpieces of Korean Art. Includes photographs of jewelry, early stoneware, tiles, gilt bronze statues of Buddhist divinities, and ceramics. Folders 1-9.
