This suite was actually written for the original pilot episode of the television series, "Asphalt Jungle." Music from 'The Lady and the Lawyer' which actually aired as the second episode on April 9, 1961 was entirely composed by the Ellington organization. -- information compiled by Mr. Johnathan D.
