CDR copy- FW-ASCH-7RR-2384 is identical to the Smithsonian Folkways recording "Ballads of the the War of 1812" (FW05002), sung by Wallace House with lute accompaniment, released in 1954. The songs are both American and British (plus one Canadian song), and include songs from 1791 to 1836. In addition to songs directly relating to the War three "soldier songs" are included. Detailed liner notes were written for the album (originally two 10-inch LP's) by Moses Asch.
