Scope and Contents:
Includes original footage of the filmmaker Linda Freeman for an autobiographical section of the documentary, which features six artists, including Romare Bearden, Elizabeth Catlett, Red Grooms, Faith Ringgold, Chuck Close, and Freeman. Footage in Freeman's section is from a public program at the SOHO 20 gallery where she appeared with Faith Ringgold, and footage of Freeman working in her home studio. Footage for sections on other artists is re-purposed footage shot for documentaries found in other series in the collection.

Production material includes draft scripts and exhibition publicity for Freeman's painting. The finished documentary exists in a single, half-hour version.
