Introduction:
This finding aid was digitized with funds generously provided by the Smithsonian Institution Women's Committee.
Descriptive Entry:
This collection consists of black and white and color photographs taken by Byers of fellow entomologists. Many of the photographs were taken at national and international entomological conventions.
Historical Note:
George W. Byers (1923- ) is an entomologist specializing in the study of Diptera. Most of his professional career was spent at the University of Kansas, where he retired as Director of the Snow Entomological Museum in 1988.
