This accession consists of audiovisual materials produced by Smithsonian Productions and its predecessor, the Office of Telecommunications. Productions in this accession
include "Children in Museums" and "The Smithsonian is for Kids." "Children in Museums" was produced in conjunction with the Children in Museums International Symposium organized
by the Office of Museum Programs in 1979. Records also document educational programming such as puppet shows and the Discovery Theater, part of the Smithsonian Associates,
Young Associates Program. Materials include masters, mixes, safety copies, and copies on a variety of videotapes, 16 mm magnetic tape, and 1/4" audiotapes.
