This series consists of newsletters, bulletins, meeting records, reports, and other non-correspondence material related to professional organizations and societies that T. Dale Stewart was involved in. Materials span the length of Stewart's professional career. The bulk of the series contains material from the American Association of Physical Anthropologists, the National Academy of Sciences, and the National Geographic Society (Stewart held advisory/leadership roles in all of these). Materials of note include research reports from a number of expeditions and projects sponsored by National Geographic and materials from the early years of the American Association of Physical Anthropologists.

Quick Center for the Arts at St. Bonaventure University through a generous grant from the Ruth Dayton Foundation. Glass plate negatives in this collection were digitized in 2019 with funding provided by the Smithsonian Women's Committee.

The Burpee firm was an active member of most of the organizations represented, although for some the relationship is not apparent. Organizations include the Agricultural Hall of Fame, American Garden Foundation and the National Garden Institute, American Horticultural Congress, American Horticultural Society, American Seed Trade Association, Association for National Advertisers, programs for the beautification of Washington, D.C., Marigold Society of America, National Council on Business Mail, the National Farm School (now Delaware Valley University) in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, National Sweet Pea Society, Royal Horticultural Society, and the Wholesale Seed Merchants' League.
