This subseries contains the various academic and professional activities (other than teaching) associated with being a professor. Included in this subseries is correspondence from colleagues, students, and the public, and clippings from newspapers and periodicals, primarily noting his assistance to law enforcement agencies in identifying victims. Also included are his USC personnel records, his yearly faculty reports, and his daily calendars.

Rathbun's forensic case files donated in 2013 are restricted until 2088. Two folders containing student grades have been separated and are restricted until 2055. For preservation reasons, his computer disks have been separated and restricted. Please note that the collection contains images of human remains.

This series contains personal documents and records of Colette Roberts' work activities. Records include applications for employment and funding, résumés and references, projects and proposals, lists of slides and artwork, contact information and business cards, financial records, a date book, and flyers related to her public appearances. Records of Roberts' charity work include donor lists, draft correspondence, programs for benefits, solicitations of artwork for benefit exhibitions, pamphlets, minutes, newsletters, and other organizational business records. Records of her gallery work for the National Association of Women Artists and the A.M. Sachs gallery are mostly related to exhibitions. Teaching-related records include class rosters, employment agreements, course descriptions, student work, reports, teaching notes, and a staff handbook related to Art History lectures Roberts gave on board the transatlantic ships the Aurelia and the Neptunia.

Viewing film portions of the collection requires special appointment, please inquire; listening to LP recordings is only possible by special arrangement.
Gloves must be worn when handling unprotected photographs and negatives. Special arrangements required to view materials in cold storage. Using cold room materials requires a three hour waiting period. Contact the Archives Center at 202-633-3270.
