These records consist of payroll sheets for Smithsonian and United States National Museum employees whose salaries were derived from federally appropriated funds for
"Preservation of Collections," "Furniture and Fixtures," and "Heating and Lighting." Also included are records for employees paid from special funding for expositions and
other needs.
This collection consists of records that document the financial administration of United States Fish Commission matters relating to the 10th Census of the United States
in 1880, the Berlin International Fisheries Exposition of 1880, and the London International Fisheries Exposition of 1883. Materials include vouchers, checks, and payroll
