Wide rectangular splint Mi'kmaq (Micmac) basket, 176413.000 in the NMAI collection, propped up and photographed inside a canvas tent on the Eskasoni Reserve, Nova Scotia. Rectangular (wicker plaited) splint basket and cover, red, black and blue (painted) decoration, made about 1891.
