The Mary Fuller McChesney papers measure 44.1 linear feet and date from 1949-2011. Included are biographical material, correspondence, writings, artists' files, financial records, photographs, artwork, printed material, and reel-to reel sound recordings documenting the career of sculptor, art historian, and author, Mary Fuller McChesney. A small portion of the papers includes material on painter, Edward Corbett.
Among the sound recordings are interviews conducted by McChesney between 1965 and 1966, and used as the primary research for her book. A majority of the collection donated 2015 by Mary Fuller McChesney. Photographs on reel 1329 donated 1973 and sound recordings donated 1994 by McChesney. Material on reel NDA 1 (fr. 728-741) lent for microfilming 1964 by Lewis Ferbrache; material on NDA 1 (fr. 930-943) lent 1964 by Mary F. McChesney.

Painter; San Francisco, Calif. b. 1921, d. 2000. Jefferson was born in Lead, S.D., the birthplace of his mentor and major influence, Clyfford Still. He studied with Still at the California School of Fine Arts from 1946 to 1950 and there participated in the development of the west coast version of Abstract Expressionism. He was a founder of the Metart Gallery, which opened in 1949.

3EP Ltd. was founded by Moo (Mary Margaret) Anderson, Joseph Goldyne, and Paula Kirkeby in 1978 in Palo Alto, California. The print publisher worked with over 20 artists to produce fine art prints and monotypes and operated until 1984.
Harry W. and Mary Margaret Anderson, respectively known as Hunk and Moo, are avid art collectors with one of the largest private art collections of 20th Century American Art. Moo has a special interest in works of art on paper and prints. Moo and Paula Kirkeby, director of Smith Anderson Gallery in Palo Alto, along with San Francisco artist Joseph Goldyne formed 3EP Ltd. In addition to sales, the mission of 3EP Ltd. was to encourage experimentation with the monoprint. Anderson and Kirkeby commissioned a custom-built Takach-Garfield press for their facilities and invited artists to work with the monotype technique and printmaking, techniques that were initially unfamiliar to many of the artists who worked with 3EP Ltd. Artists invited to work at 3EP include Gordon Cook, Claire Falkenstein, Joe Fay, Sam Francis, David Gilhooly, Frank Lobdell, Ed Moses, Nathan Oliviera, Jay and Matt Phillips, and many others. 3EP Ltd. closed in 1984.

Biographical / Historical:
The Wiegand Gallery was an art gallery on the campus of Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California. The Wiegand Gallery was founded in 1987, however, the university held exhibitions of notoriety since the early 1970s. Under the direction of the school's art department as well as painter and professor of art Charles Strong, the university's art gallery held shows for William Synder, Kristen Fenstermaker, Lois Siegriest, James Budd Dixon, Frank Lobdell, Great Plains Native American art and artifacts, and more from the 1970s to 1980s. After 1987 to the 1990s, the gallery focused on exhibiting mid-career artists and lesser-known works by well-known artists. Artists shown in this period include Joel Bass, Susan Mareneck, Jim Melchert, Wayne Thiebaud, Joan Brown and Manuel Neri, Mark di Suvero, and Terry St. John. Artists exhibited in the 2000s include Robert Chiarito, Patrick Morrison, Paul Harris, Oliver Jackson, and John Walker. Notable group shows held at Wiegand include Art from the Inside: Drawings by Chicano Prisoners (2004) and Countdown to Eternity (2005), a photo exhibition of pictures taken during the Civil Rights Movement by Benedict J. Fernandez. Countdown included a gallery event with Tom Houck, Martin Luther King Jr.'s driver and personal assistant. The gallery was closed by administration in 2019.
