and associated exhibition were collaborative projects with the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition
Service. Edited by Gabrielle Tayac, it features a foreword by NMAI Director Kevin Gover and NMAAHC Director, Lonnie G. Bunch, as well as essays by 27 scholars and community
culture bearers. IndiVisible: African-Native American Lives in the Americas examines the story of Native American and African American intersections and speaks to the
struggles for racial identity and understanding.
