Photographs from an exhibit of work by Emil Minh, entitled "Laos: The Land and the People." The photographs document Laotian people, agricultural activities, scenery, and Buddhist temples and monks.
Biographical/Historical note:
Emil Minh was a Laotian photographer and film maker. An exhibition of his work, entitled "Laos: The Land and the People," was first shown in Vientiane. It was then obtained by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibits and appeared in several cities across the United States between 1967 and 1969.
