The files in this series were solicited from past presidents by Pamela Effrein Sandstrom, CSAS archivist. The individuals that served as president were often involved in CSAS in different capacities throughout their professional career. Consequently, these files also document their involvement in CSAS outside of their service as president. Some files, such as reports and meeting minutes, were separated from this series and placed elsewhere in the collection.
For the correspondence of Leslie A. White, president of CSAS 1938-39, see Series 5. Correspondence. The correspondence of other past presidents can also be found interspersed throughout Series 5. Correspondence.
