This accession consists of records created and maintained by Kristian Fauchald, Curator, Chairman, and Research Zoologist, 1979- . The correspondence pertains to collections,
proposals, research, students, and departmental administration. Some correspondence is from his time at the University of Southern California (1965-1979) before his arrival
at the Smithsonian. Also included are general administrative files and his work with the Electronic Publishing Working Group at the Smithsonian, the American Society of Zoologists,
the Society of Systematic Zoology, and the Biological Society of Washington. Materials include correspondence, proposals, reports, administrative files, photographs, illustrations,
and plates. Some materials are in electronic format.
