Also included are writings, bibliographic information, exhibition ephemera, and clippings pertaining to Nancy Goldring; and photos of artist Noreen Bumb, her artwork, and installations.

Biographical / Historical:
Soho 20 is an artist-run gallery founded in 1973 in New York. The gallery's founding members are Elena Borstein, Cynthia Mailman, Barbara Coleman, Maureen Conner, Mary Ann Gillies, Joan Glueckman, Eunice Golden, Margaret Helenchild, Marion Ranyak, Rachel Rolon De Clet, Marilyn Raymond, Halina Rusak, Lucy Sallick, Morgan Sanders, Rosalind Shaffer, Sylvia Sleigh, Eileen Spikol, May Stevens, Suzanne Weisberg, and Sharon Wybrants-Lynch. Soho 20's mission is to provide women and other marginalized artists with resources and opportunities. The gallery became a legal non-profit in 1989.

The collection was donated in 1979 by Rachel Rolon de Clet, a director of the gallery.

New York City, New York painter and author Claudia Schwalb has exhibited at Clocktower Gallery and the New Museum, and is currently a writer for whitehotmagazine.com.

After graduating from Pratt Institute, Schwalb apprenticed with painter Ron Gorchov and began writing for Cover Magazine and other art journals.

Biographical / Historical:
Madeleine Ellen Sachs Sharrer Poland (1898–1988) was a painter active in New York, California, and Connecticut, and was the mother of painter Honoré Sharrer.

As a young woman Sharrer studied in Paris at the Acadèmie Colarossi and the Acadèmie de la Grande Chaumière and in New York with Charles Hawthorne and George Luks. Madeline Sharrer was her daughter Honoré's first art teacher, and remained a lifelong professional confidante and advisor to her daughter throughout her life.

Donated 1975 by Reginald Poland, Sharrer's husband, and in 2007 by Perez Zagorin.
