This accession consists of genealogical records of the Hirshhorn (Hirschhorn) and Friedlander families. These materials were collected or created by Gene LePere, daughter
of Joseph H. Hirshhorn, and include notes, photographs, family genealogy reports, audio interviews, correspondence, copies of vital records, and related materials. In addition,
this accession includes three books written by LePere regarding Joseph H. Hirshhorn and the Hirschhorn and Friedlander families as well as LePere's personal file related to
her father's estate, including an exhibition/auction catalogue for his furniture collection. Some materials are in electronic format.
This accession consists of copies of documents not included in "Bringing the Past to Life: the Story of Lazer and Amelia Friedlander Hirschhorn," a family history published
by Gene LePere, daughter of Joseph H. Hirshhorn. Materials include census records; marriage and death certificates; the Hirschhorn family newsletter; the Friedlander family
