Bartlett; a letter to the Bartletts from Henry Smith, December 23, 1901; a letter to John Trumbull from John Langdon, member of Congress, and signer of the constitution, June 1, 1799; and a letter from John Trumbull to his wife, November 30, 1818.

John Trumball was a patriot and painter of revolutionary war subjects, also portrait painter of prominent figures of the period.
