Manuscript on verso reads: "Paris, le 25 avril 1927 - Mon cher Consul Général et bon Ami - Depuis quelque temps déjà, je suis privé de vos nouvelles, lesquelles, je l'espère continuent à être bonnes - J'avais traduit, ainsi que je vous l'ai écrit, l'article que vous aviez consacré dans 'O Seculo', aux précurseurs de Colomb, à seule fin de vous faire de la réclame pour votre érudition, or, par suite d'une négligence, tout est perdu et j'en suis contrarié ! Pourriez-vous me faire adresser un nouvel exemplaire du Seculo qui renfermait l'article. Merci d'avance - Peut-être n'avez-vous pas reçu ma dernière carte ? Il est vrai que ce fut au moment des troubles. Affectueuse poignée de main votre toujours dévoué E. Cravoisier.
