Circa 1930s-1940s trade literature for glues for furniture, cabinet-making, aircraft-making, plywood and carpentry industries: vegetable, casein, liquid, resin and metal veneer glues ; mixers, spreaders and cold glue brushes. August 1940 bulletin entitled "The Advent and History of Different Kinds of Wood Glue for Industrial Use in the United States." Color swatches of a paste product called "Quick Repair" used to fill in checks, splits and other defects in solid wood or face veneers. It is colored the shades of the woods then used in production work such as greenish poplar, dark mahogany, walnut, sap gum and maple-light birch.
