Scope and Contents:
Bound volume of drawings. Inside back cover inscribed: "Unidentified shield pictures, either Cheyenne or Arapaho, from Indian picture book owned by Mr. John H. Seger, Colony, Oklahoma, 1904." Other sources cited on individual drawings are the "Wahton Arapaho" book of Philip Putt, the "Lone Wolf" book of Rudolph Petter, and the "Grinnell canvas." The first 16 drawings signed with a large S are the work of Arapaho artist Carl Sweezy, based on comparison to his work in vol. 13. Other drawings are the work of Cheyenne artist Charles Murphy, based on comparison to his work in vol. 10.

Scope and Contents:
Volume, now disbound, containing James Mooney's notes and 20 drawings by unidentified artist. A printed page number appears in black in the upper left corner of each verso. This is the same style of book as Volumes 1 and 3 of this manuscript. The drawings depict hunting and episodes from the Split Boys, Red Horse, and Saynday stories. The text consists of notes on Kiowa shields, painted tipis, and ethnobotany; a list of the dates of birth of 25 individuals; and a transcription of Setkopti's diary covering the period between December 13, 1878 (Tarrytown, New York) and March 3, 1882 (St. Augustine, Florida).
