Scope and Contents:
This series includes Sultner's early photographs, consisting primarily of friends, ca. 1945-1951, including signed portraits of Tennessee Williams and Hilary Waugh; also family photographs and presentation photographs from his 1959 Asian tour; autographed images (publicity photographs) of famous musicians, conductors, and singers, as well as artists, collected during Sultner's youth and later musical career, such as Leopold Stokowski, Eugene Ormandy, Jean Carlton, etc.
Restrictions:
Unrestricted research use on site by appointment. Photographs must be handled with cotton gloves unless protected by sleeves.
