Scope and Contents:
Edited film documents travel in the American Southwest. Film focuses on places of interest including Las Vegas, Boulder, Painted Desert, Kingman, the Petrified Forest, and the Grand Canyon. Extensive footage is given to the Grand Canyon and Boulder in particular. Includes footage of city scenes, landscape panoramas, methods of travel, and tourist activities. Film is edited to include older black and white footage used to explain history of the area.

Full film record shot in north central Afghanistan in a mountain village near Mazar. Shots include: an overview of a walled domestic compound within the village; blacksmith shoeing a horse; scenes in the village marketplace and shops; shopkeepers around their shops; butcher shop and butchering of a goat; landscape panoramas; truck traveling along dusty mountain road loaded with men; men socializing at a shop.
