FW-ASCH-7RR-2780 contains standard U. S. folk songs and one instrumental performed by various bluegrass musicians of Virginia. Of the eight tracks, all but one are on the Folkways album "Bluegrass From the Blue Ridge: A Half Century of Change: Country Band Music of Virginia" (FW03832), released in 1967 and recorded by Eric Davidson. The instrumentation is standard: fiddle, banjo and mandolin, guitar and bass are present. The tape box says, "Band Master - 2." Prominent among the musicians are Wade Ward, Fields Ward and Spud Gravelly. For additional information, refer to the Folkways album. The one song on this tape that is not on the Folkways album is "Someday We'll Meet Again, Sweetheart."
