Edited film depicts the Boran people of northern Kenya as they struggle to adapt to the concept of nationhood as expressed by the Kenyan political slogan for national unity, "Harambee" (pull together). The Harambee Day festivities are used to explore some of these difficulties in changing long established beliefs and in attaining government support for rural economic development. Filmed by David MacDougall and James Blue.
