Banjo player and music scholar Tony Seeger, nephew of the late American icon and Folkways artist Pete Seeger (1919-2014), performed at the 2014 Smithsonian Folklife Festival's Ralph Rinzler Memorial Concert. He closed the evening with a medley of American folksongs "If I Had a Hammer" and "This Land is Your Land," during which he invited the evening's cast of Kenyan and American performers onstage for a powerful audience sing-along.
