This video has audio description for people with limited vision. Embedded with sensors, Path Feel is an insole that provides vibrational feedback to people at risk of falls, such as those with peripheral neuropathy, with general balance issues, or who are unable to feel the ground. Path Feel helps users to identify touching the ground, and also captures data that can be used to understand a person’s gait patterns and activities. On view at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, as part of Access+Ability, from through Sept. 3, 2018.
