Students from Lime Kiln Middle School, in Maryland, USA, as part of their Service Learning Credit program, decided to help out some of the students of Isla Colon, Bocas del Toro, Panama, by creating materials they can use in school! The materials (handmade pencil cases, coloring books, and other innovative items) got sent in two large boxes to the Smithsonian's Bocas del Toro Research Station. The BRS staff distributed the materials between students from the Bluff Beach school (Escuela Luis Flores) and the Colonia Santeña school.
