Thursday, November 18 | 2:30 – 3pm Looking for some Thanksgiving recipes to impress your family and friends this year? Join us as Chef Moses Jackson shares a few recipes to add to your dinner table. The dishes he will be preparing are healthier versions of some of the dishes that we have grown to know and love. Chef Moses Jackson has been delighting culinary palates across the country for more than 20 years. A native of New Orleans, his passion for creating scintillating fare has garnered recognition at restaurants across the country. He is a craftsman of Cajun and Creole cooking, having mastered the art and distinction between both styles. The result, many signature dishes. He is famous for saying, “There is no shortcut for cooking good food for the soul.” Classically trained at the Culinary Institute of New Orleans, Chef Moses has had the privilege of working under the tutelage of well-known chefs Emeril Laggasse at Nola and Paul Prudhomme at K-Paul’s Louisiana Kitchen. Chef Moses has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Southern University. #Take Time Thursdays with the Anacostia Community Museum gives participants a chance to take time for wellness, health, and creativity with artists, thought leaders, performers, wellness practitioners and others. Take a 30-minute break with us from 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. every other Thursday and boost your mind, body, and spirit.
