Video Title:
Bamboo Theatre | Nature–Design Triennial
Description:
Xu Tiantian’s Bamboo Theater is a living structure in a rural Chinese village. The open-air theatre consists entirely of living bamboo stalks bent and woven into a domed shape. The structure is maintained by the villagers, who remove dead bamboo and weave in young shoots as they grow. On view in "Nature–Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial" through January 2020. This video is audio described to make it more accessible. Courtesy of Moritz Dirks of reframevideos.com Xu Tiantian (Chinese, born 1975), DnA_Design and Architecture (Beijing, China, founded 2004)
