ARTLAB Masterclass: "ARTLAB Theme Song" - performed by TK the Rellik & TréMendous, music by Tiaz
Description:
Seven teens artists from the DC metro area joined forces to create and produce a theme song for the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden's digital art studio for teens, ARTLAB. The teen artists spent 6-weeks participating in a digital art masterclass where they developed skills in film production, songwriting, music production and on-stage performance. ARTLAB Masterclass is a paid six-week internship providing up to 10 advanced teen artists master training within a select discipline. Challenged with producing a collaborative digital art project, participants receive 30 hours of intimate access to Artist educators, guest master artists, and studio equipment. After successfully completing the program, participants receive certification as Master Artists within the discipline of focus. During this masterclass session, teens collaborated with the digital media agency, Creative Junkfood to transform their original song into an animated music video. The project was made possible by the Youth Access Grant Program (YAG).
