Santiniketan to Smithsonian: A Tribute to Tagore Udaya Narayana Singh Pro-Vice Chancellor, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan, India Udaya Narayana Singh is pro-vice-chancellor at the Visva-Bharati, where he joined as Tagore Chair in June 2009. In addition to 150 research papers on linguistics and the sociology of language, he has published four collections of poems and twelve plays in the Maithili language and six books of essays and two collections of poems in Bengali. He is currently leading a team that is compiling a chronological compendium of Tagore's works.
