They were carpenters, carvers, ceramicists, cooks, hairstylists, hat makers, flower and coffee growers, instrument makers, silver and gold smiths, and weavers. This video montage of these craftspeople is set to music by Cabrestero, a joropo music and dance group from the Southeastern Plains region. Video shot and edited by Charles Weber.
