Video Title:
Paracords Data Visualization | Nature–Design Triennial
Description:
These visualizations are produced by software designed for studying microbiomes through metagenomics, a method that identifies every organism in an environment at the time a sample is taken. DNA sequences of organisms found in an infant’s gut are displayed in different ways. A color-coded bar chart shows which genes are most expressive. A parallel coordinates graph facilitates comparisons of different taxonomic variables. On view in "Nature–Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial" through January 2020. This video is described. Eric Rodenbeck (American, born 1970), Kai Chang (American, born 1987), Alec Burch (American, born 1990), Zan Armstrong (American, born 1982), and Greg Corradini (American, born 1978), Stamen Design (San Francisco, California, USA, founded 2001) for Jill Ban eld (Australian, born 1959) and Brian Thomas (American, born 1970), Ban eld Laboratory, University of California, Berkeley (Berkeley, California, USA, founded 1990)
