Video Title:
Legal Eats: Food and the Culture of the U.S. Supreme Court
Description:
Throughout American history, the Justices of the nation’s highest court have come together to deliberate legal matters… but they have also found time to break bread. Since the early 19th century when they took all their meals together while living in a boarding house, the Justices have continued to reinforce cordiality and cooperation through shared food traditions, such as eating lunch together on Court and Conference days. Join U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor and the Curator of the Supreme Court, Catherine E. Fitts, in a conversation moderated by Clare Cushman, Director of Publications of the Supreme Court Historical Society, as they explore the unique food traditions of the Supreme Court.
