Video Title:
The Art of Science: Session 1 - Visual Arts
Description:
Can science influence the arts in extraordinary ways as the understanding of our natural world evolves over time? We are pleased to be exploring this connection in a new live virtual programming series called “The Art of Science: Conversations with Creatives in Science” featuring a variety of visual artists, writers and photographers with scientific backgrounds in a conversation about how their scientific understanding of the world influences, enhances and guides their art. Panelists for this session include: Sean Vidal Edgerton, a scientific illustrator with a background in Ecology, Evolution and Conservation Biology, Terri Nelson, an award-winning scientific illustrator and cartoonist, and Skye Morét, an information designer and marine scientist who creates visual art from scientific data. This program is free to attend and will be approximately 90 minutes in length.
