CHMRB copy 39088015314784 is imperfect: the title leaf is wanting, and most likely some of the other plates (the full extent of the complete edition was not able to be determined at the time of cataloging). The CHMRB copy includes: plates numbered 2-25, plus these additional plates with duplicate numbers but different patterns (from another series?): 8, 12, 15, and 22
CHMRB copy is the gift of Maude D. French of Hanover, New Hampshire, who noted in a typed, signed letter dated Jan. 7, 1971 [to Mrs. Lane, a former Cooper-Hewitt librarian?] that this pattern book previously belonged to her cousin, Mrs. George C. (Marie) Wales. Miss French also wrote, "What I found interesting was the number of patterns that have a distrinct [that is, distinct] Art Nouveau look to their patterns, as well as a close feeling for the Tiffany lamps, and the Paris MeĢtro signs"
CHMRB copy has note handwritten in pencil on gutter of front paste-down endpaper: Gift Mrs. Francis Brennan 193[8?]; perhaps source of book for Mrs. Wales (mentioned above)?.
CHMRB copy has the publisher's color-printed and illustrated paperboard binding with red cloth spine. In archival envelope for preservation
