In this overview of the prehistory of the Algerian Sahara, Hincker discusses the stone-covered tumuli, the lithic and ceramic industries, and, of course, the rock paintings and engravings. His particular focus is an isolated, little-studied region to the south-west of Hoggar, centered on the tassili of Tin Reroh, near the border where Algeria, Mali and Niger meet.
