Mandjak woven cloth is a valued commodity, used in burials and during other ceremonies. Mandjak immigrants in Senegal have started a weaving cooperative, "Ateliers de la communauté mandjaque" (A.Co.Ma.), where cloth for modern uses (bedspreads, table cloths) is made.
