Notes:
This study explores how patterns of growth are shaped by ethnicity by using drawings by school children of different ages from three ethnic groups in Kenya. The children's drawings were analyzed according to criteria, such as age of the children studied, their ethnic heritage, school experience, and kinds of drawings associated with changing values and modern interests. The implications of this study include how drawing is modified by the acquisition of cultural and education conventions, and how it can record ethnic values and ideas.
