A copy of the ledger of Israel Janney, who two centuries ago ran a mill and the attached store about a mile and a half southeast of what is now Lincoln in Loudoun County, Virginia. The ledger covers the charge accounts of the store from 1784-1793, with some entries carried forward from an earlier ledger that went back into the 1770s.
