In addition to the eighteen plates after Flaxman (plates 3-20) Robertson has included two plates of skeletons and écorchés (plates 1 & 2) and a plate based on a drawing once attributed to Michelangelo, now in the British Museum (plate 21)
The book is dedicated by W. Robertson and M.A. Nattali to Francis Chantrey 'for his valuable advice during the progress of its publication'
Plates 3-20 are all signed bottom left as by Flaxman and bottom right as by H. Landseer; plate 21 bottom left as by Michael Angelo Buonarotti and bottom right as by H. Landseer
With a frontispiece portrait of Flaxman, signed: "Etched by M. de Clauson" (possibly a variant spelling of Claussin, for Ignace Joseph de Claussin?)

AAPGRB copy has bookplate: Science and Art Department of the Committee of Council on Education, School of Art [handwritten in ink: Brighton], presented to [handwritten in ink: Brooking A.W. AAPGRB copy has autograph of a former owner on front free endpaper in pencil: L. Preston, 1938. There are a few brief handwritten annotations and markings (small sketches) in pencil in the volume
AAPGRB copy has the publisher's gilt- and black-stamped red cloth binding, with blind-embossed back cover
