In addition to Goudy's essay on type design on pages [1] and [2], the specimen includes a poem, "If I were Pan" by Bliss Carman, on page [3] and "A new text letter by Frederic W. Goudy" (illustrating Monotype Goudy Text, a free rendering of Gothic lettering) on page [4].
