SCDIRB copy has the handwritten inscription in ink of a former owner on the half-title: "T. Cooper, Par [abbreviated form of Pater-Noster?] Row," possibly the economist, chemist and political philosopher Thomas Cooper.
SCDIRB copy has a later half-leather binding with marbled paper boards; gilt-tooled spine; and gray sprinkled edges.
